Earlier this year (2008), the Guardian wrote a travel article about the city of Verona, after Venice the most beautiful and romantic city in the region of Veneto, in Northern Italy. Since I am sure the Guardian is much more venerable and knowledgeable than I am, I humbly follow their advice as to what are the most important Verona tourist attractions, restaurants and night life spots.   Night spots – eating Verona is in a mountain area and its citizens accordingly believe in eating well, so be prepared for big portions. A lunch menu will generally set you back between 12 and 15 Euros, but it will be worth it since it will easily keep you going until dinner.
