Fodor’s, the American guidebook, writes the following about the Pompei Hotel Amleto.

Appassionati and connoisseurs of historical styles of furnishings will find this hotel a real treat. Enjoy the Pompeian-type mosaic in the reception room and the mesmerizing House-of-the-Vettii-type scene in the breakfast room before retiring to your quarters, either 19^th-century Neapolitan in style or Venetian in taste. Convenient to say the least, this spot is near the archaeological site and close to Pompei’s cathedral. As traffic noise may be a problem, ask for a quieter room on the upper floor.

The front door of the hotel is always locked. Your pressed a bell to get in. I liked this as it made the hotel feel safe. (anonymous)

The room was comfortable, clean and airy and the bathroom (which was almost as big as the bedroom) was fabulous with tiled floors, a powerful shower, loads of big fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries. (anonymous,Venere.com)
